What is the 'Always On' Electric Aga Cooker?
AGA Rangemaster introduced the original 13amp electric model back in 2004. It was revolutionary, with its flue-less design and ability to be placed anywhere in the kitchen.
When we refurbish our models, we completely overhaul the controls with our 'always on' system. This means simple controls, reliable systems and upgraded insulation, so more heat stays where you need it - in the ovens.

Low Maintenance System
The system we use is the low-maintenance version, without AIMS or computer boards inside.
In our experience, the AIMS systems (computerised and controllable 13amp system) can be unreliable in the long term, with the constant heat affecting the control boards. These boards can be expensive to replace and have a limited 12 month warranty from the manufacturers, as they're notorious for burning out.
The 'always on' electric aga cooker is a traditional 'set and forget' model. Once you have found your optimum operating temperature, you can close the control door and forget about adjusting to cook. It's designed to be always on and up to temperature!
That being said, if you do want to turn it off, it's a simple on/off switch and you will have no issues relighting, unlike the gas and oil models which can be very temperamental if turned off.
No Annual Servicing Required!
The traditional oil and gas models require annual servicing (or every 6 months for oil). At a rough cost of £180 per service, this can add up in the long term life of the cooker.
The 'always on' electric system uses similar technology as a conventional oven (thermostats and elements), making frequent servicing a thing of the past.
AGA recommend a simpler 'safety check' every 3-5 years which checks the safe operation of the cooker.
One benefit of our 'always on' electric system, is that in the rare occasion that your electric system stops working, the fix should be fairly straightforward due to the simplified design inside.
Traditional Ambient Heat
The 'always on' electric aga cooker is the PERFECT choice for those who are looking for the traditional experience of Oil and Gas models, but without the fossil fuels, servicing and combustion issues.
The system is designed to be on 24/7, constantly radiating warmth into the room. This is particularly helpful in older properties prone to damp or those who are looking to emulate the traditional experience of an Aga Cooker.
When running at optimum temperature, you'll have one boiling hotplate and one simmering hotplate - both made of solid cast iron.
The top right hand oven is always your Roasting Oven, and depending on the model, your bottom oven will be a Simmering or Baking oven.

Every cooker is enamelled per order in your chosen colour.
Installation is usually by our own team and is postcode dependent (starting from £600).
