OUR STORY SO FAR

Our Story, as told by our Director, Steven Williams:

SALTIRECOOKERS is the proud product of my interest in, and history with, Aga Cookers. My aim with Saltire, was to fill the gap in the market for a reliable and trusted Scottish refurbishment company. Our website was built (by me!) with a focus on information over sales. Whenever I'm looking to invest in a new purchase, I always research it to death! There's nothing worse than the need to scour multiple websites to find basic information about the product, OR a transparent 'car-salesman' approach. That's where we differ. A focus on providing you with unbiased, thorough pre-sale information, so you can make an informed choice that is right for you and your lifestyle. In summary - just honest selling!

My father started working with Aga Cookers back in 1988 and as a young teen myself, I was quite often enlisted to help answer the house phone, take notes from customers and lend my 'go-for' skills on installs.

Fast forward to 2019, and after years of on/off helping to install and dismantle cookers, I decided join in the market full time. With the change in AGA Rangemaster ownership, traditional model discontinuations, and the obvious lack of new engineers and talent in the industry, creating SALTIRECOOKERS myself, seemed like the natural route.

When I embarked on the journey of creating our online space (with my own ten fingers and one keyboard!), I approached it as a potential customer, and found an extreme lack of detailed information and transparency in the existing market. That's where saltirecookers.com was born! With it's popularity, we quickly upgraded our workspace from a small shed in the garden, to a fully-fledged commercial unit and showroom.

Saltire has a focus on supplying Showroom-standard Refurbished Aga Range Cookers, providing an efficient Electric Conversion Service and offering Refurbishment Options for existing Aga Cookers.
