Saltire Cookers is a family-run range cooker company based in Inverbervie, on the lovely north-east coast of Scotland.
We specialise in the beautiful restoration and sale of reconditioned Aga Range Cookers, and are Scotland's authorised retailers for the brilliant Esse and Everhot cookers. Our efficient electric Aga conversion systems allow existing Aga cooker owners to upgrade from oil, gas or 13amp systems, to a modern, controllable and electric version - reducing carbon emissions by up to 95% and running costs as low as £7 per week.
We've been part of the AGA world since 1988. What started with a single AGA engineer travelling across the UK, has grown into one of Scotland's most trusted range cooker companies, recognised with the prestigious 'Made in Britain' certification and a consistent 5-star rating on Google and Trustpilot.

"Saltire Cookers is the proud product of my interest in, and families history with, Aga range cookers.
My father started working with Aga Cookers back in 1988, and as a young teenager I was regularly enlisted to answer the phone, take notes from customers, and lend my hands on installations. That hands-on experience never left me.
In 2019, I made the decision to enter the industry full time. 'AGA Rangemaster' had changed ownership to an American corporation, traditional oil and gas models were being discontinued, controllable electric conversions were almost unheard of, and there was a clear gap in Scotland for a reliable, knowledgeable, independently run refurbishment company, and Saltire Cookers was the answer.
When I built the website (with my own ten fingers and one keyboard!), I approached it as a customer would. What I found was a market with very little transparency: vague pricing, minimal technical detail, and a lot of sales-heavy copy that provided nothing of use. That's the problem we set out to solve. Every page on this site is written to inform first, with customers as the main focus.

What We Do:
Our Four Core Services.
Refurbished Aga Cookers.
We source original British-cast Aga Cookers, produced at the historic Coalbrookdale Iron Foundry, and restore them to showroom condition. Every cooker is stripped down, shot-blasted, re-enamelled in vitreous enamel, and fitted with new parts throughout. Our fully refurbished models start from around £8,000 - a fraction of the cost of a new Aga Cooker.
New ESSE and Everhot Cookers.
We are authorised retailers for both ESSE and Everhot - two of the UK's finest electric range cooker manufacturers. ESSE cookers are hand-built in Lancashire and offer some of the fastest heat-up times on the market. Everhot cookers, made in Gloucestershire, are some of the most energy-efficient cast iron range cookers available, and are designed to run 24/7, with gentle ambient warmth into the room
Aga Electric Conversion Service.
We convert existing Aga Cookers from oil, gas or 13amp versions, to modern, controllable electric systems. Our systems allow full temperature control, Wi-Fi scheduling, and optional induction hob upgrades. Converting an Aga to ElectricKit typically reduces annual running costs from over £3,500 on 13amp, to less than £400 with our ElectricKit system.
Aga Cooker Restoration.
We offer standalone refurbishment options for customers who want to restore their own Aga cooker, rather than replace it. Our refurbishment services are available in packages to suit different levels of reconditioning, and we always use traditional enamelling techniques and new, high-quality parts.

Our Workshop & Showroom
in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
Our workshop is located in Inverbervie, a small coastal town on the north-east coast of Scotland, around 25 miles south of Aberdeen.
We were featured in the 'Press and Journal' when we made the move from our original garden shed/shipping container setup to our larger commercial-grade unit - a moment we're quietly proud of.
Our showroom displays a specially selected range of cookers including our Refurbished Aga Cookers in 2-oven, 3-oven and 4-oven configurations, the ESSE 600x PRO, ESSE 1000t PRO, Everhot 120i, Everhot 60, and our cosy wood-fired cook stoves.
Visits to our showroom are by appointment only - if you'd like to come and see the cookers in person, get in touch and we'll arrange a time to suit (we have tea, coffee and biscuits!).
