The Induction Hotplate upgrade has been a long time coming! Testing proved tricky, due to the ambient heat Aga Cookers are known for and the low temperatures the induction needs to operate. The induction unit replaces the Left Hand Hotplate (to avoid any heat from the ovens), and is able to be controlled independently - no need to have your other hotplate on!
The Induction Hob for our Controllable Electric Cookers, gives you the flexibility of a modern hob, without using additional kitchen space or losing the classic, iconic Aga Cooker look.
HOW DOES THE INDUCTION HOB WORK?
Available for our Controllable Electric Systems, the induction hotplate upgrade utilises the existing left hand hotplate footprint. There are a few options for power, with the standard having a 1.6kW element inside, utilising the existing cooker supply. The higher power versions require an additional plug socket close to your cooker.
The ON/OFF control and temperature adjustments are integrated directly into the induction hob, using touchscreen controls (no bending down to adjust the temperature!).
INDUCTION HOB - DETAILED INFORMATION:
The Induction Hotplate for Aga Cookers, is available for our controllable electric systems, and must be fitted by an authorised engineer.
- 1 x 1.6kW induction plate (2.4 and 3kW versions available).
- Fits into the same footprint as the existing aga cooker hotplate.
- ONLY available for the eControl and ElectricKit conversion systems (oil, gas, 13amp or 'new gen' agas are not compatible).
- Completely sealed unit to prevent issues with spillages from overflowing pots and pans.
- Integrated fan for automatic cooling.
- Reaches boiling temperature extremely quickly.
- Keep the Traditional Aga Cooker look.
- Available as a retrofit, or an add-on for new orders.
- Reduces ambient heat slightly, with the absence of the second hotplate.
