Our 13amp Electric Aga Cookers are perfect for those who are looking for a traditional always-on Aga Cooker, without the flue or fuel requirements of fossil fuel counterparts.
AGA Rangemaster introduced the 13amp electric model back in 2004. It was revolutionary, with its flue-less design and ability to be placed anywhere in the kitchen. The models of 13amp that came direct from the factory utilised an electric element in place of the traditional oil/gas burner, with the same insulation process.
For us, this wasn't good enough. It meant hugely unnecessary running costs and complete loss of heat. These models are what AGA Rangemaster based their running costs on.
When we recondition our 13amp models, we completely overhaul the system. This means the majority of the heat stays where you need it - in the ovens. The running costs are therefore reduced, without loosing a lot of ambient heat from the front plate which still provides warmth to your kitchen.
Your Refurbished 13amp Aga Cooker will include:

Our 13amp models are usually room venting, meaning they can be placed anywhere in the room, providing your floor can support the weight of the Aga Range Cooker.
There is an option to externally vent if your cooker is located on an external wall. This can be through 28mm pipe vent system, running through the wall horizontally.
With our room venting options, we frequently recommend placing a stove fan on the back of the top plate. This pushes the warm air that exits the shroud, around the room and increases the ambient heat.
Our 13amp models use the same element as the original itirations, but without the "AIMS" circuit boards inside. We use the tried and tested mechanical thermostat system, and you can add an external timer to drop the heat periodically to reduce running costs. This means your cooker will run in the same way as a traditional Oil and Gas model, but running on a single 13amp fused spur supply.
Over the past few decades, (and in our own opinion!), we have found that the PCB and AIMS versions can be somewhat problematic and have a history of overheating, leading to costly replacement parts.
Since all of our models use the same single element design, they have the same requirements:
1 x 13amp fused spur.
The electrical switches cannot be behind the Aga cooker, and must be within 1m of the appliance.
We will send you our full Pre-Install documentation with guidance, diagrams and requirements inside.
Our 13amp Aga Cookers are a traditional model, so they require onsite assembly by our trained engineers.
Your cooker will arrive in parts and over the course of a few hours, it willl be assembled piece by piece, ensuring levels are correct and seals intact to give you peak performance.
Running costs will differ depending on the food being cooked, your supplier tarriff and even the room size, but as a guide:
Official testing from Aga Rangemaster, listed weekly consumption at 220kWh. We use better insulating procedures and this can be paired with an automatic timer, which will reduce this overall consumption significantly.
Whilst still one of the more expensive models of Aga cooker to run, this is a great improvement on the original versions.
Our newly-enamelled 13amp Aga Cookers start at around £5190, with free delivery to mainland UK.
Before the brand new models were discontinued back in 2020, our refurbished models were around £4500 cheaper!

The 13amp Aga Range Cooker is a great mix between the newer controllable models and the more traditional Oil & Gas models. We believe in honest selling and transparency. As well as listing the advantages, we'll also list the disadvantages as it may not be the model for you.
Advantages of our 13amp Aga Range Cooker:
Disadvantages of the 13amp Aga Range Cooker:
One of the main reasons stated for the argument against a 13amp over other models, is the running costs.
The 13amp aga cookers were tested, and had a weekly consumption of approximately 220kWh. Our 2 Oven 13amp Aga Cookers can run more efficiently, when paired with our improved insulation, and an automatic timer. Customers have provided consumption figures as low as 180kWh per week, which, even though it's cheaper than other 13amp models, it's still much higher than our other electric models.
More the most efficient electric Aga Cookers, take a look at our eControl models or our ElectricKit models.
Any approximations will change depending on your energy supplier and your usage of the Aga Cooker. Always try to cook more in the ovens than the hot plates to reduce heat loss (our controllable models are an exception to this).
