In 2024, the ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) conducted independent testing to compare the brand new AGA eR7 with the Everhot 110i.
AGA Rangemaster had claimed that the eR7 offered the 'lowest running costs for any heat-storage cast iron range cooker'. Everhot disputed this.
The ASA ruled the claim as misleading and their independent testing showed that the Everhot 110i used significantly less energy over a 7-day period than the eR7 when in continuous operation.
